Run for the Cure
The CIBC Run for the Cure is an annual event that The Pearce Team takes pride in donating to and participating in the 1km walk or 5km run. CIBC Run for the Cure is Canada’s largest single day fundraiser that is led by a large group of volunteers. This fundraiser is dedicated to raising funds for breast cancer research, education and awareness programs.
The Pearce Team and Royal LePage Brookside are currently working with the Cythera Transition House that provides a safe environment for women and children who have suffered from domestic violence and abuse. The Transition house offers counseling services and educational programs in a safe environment. Don and Debi direct their donation to the Shelter Foundation at Royal LePage to Cythera House locally. By donating, we are able to help fund awareness programs, and items they need to maintain their services.
“On behalf of the Board of Directors, the management, staff and clients of Cythera Transition House Society, I would like to thank you for your very generous donation to our Society. Cythera is extremely grateful for this large donation as are the women and children who access our various services and programs.” -Cythera Transition House Society
Debi was one of the original organizers of the Caribbean Festival and spent 13 years organizing, promoting and managing this local cultural event. The Maple Ridge Caribbean Festival is a vibrant celebration of the Caribbean culture and features live bands, colourful costumes, dancing, arts and crafts, and delicious food! By volunteering and supporting this event, The Pearce Team hopes to encourage multiculturalism within Maple Ridge.
We are thrilled to be able to give back to our furry friends by ways of donating to the SPCA. Michelle and her family helpfully donate $30 a month to the local SPCA to help them provide their animals with the supplies they need. Both Debi and Michelle participate in the annual walk "Paws for a Cause"
Royal LePage Shelter Foundation
Don and Debi generously donate to the Royal LePage Shelter Foundation which helps abused women and children across Canada rebuild a healthy life after experiencing violence. We are thrilled to announce for the second year in a row that both Don and Debi indivisually have been recognized as two of the top 10% of donors from across the country. We hope to continue making a difference in the lives of many in the years to come.
